Mark Holley

Mark is the co-founder of Method Schools. He has been working in the marketingand finance areas of K-12 education for two decades, including experience leadingteams and managing budgets, marketing, and business operations at charterschools, a school district, and a K-12 industry corporation. Under Mark’s business leadership. Method has grown enrollment each year sinceinception, has no debt, a healthy rainy day fund, and its own online curriculum andSIS/LMS systems that have saved the organization millions of dollars whilesimultaneously improving the student experience. An avid mountain biker, he alsolaunched a mountain biking team at Method that brings cycling to urban SouthernCalifornia communities. During his 14 years at Provo School District in Utah, he worked his way up from anight janitor to managing the district’s $130 million budget. The District budget wasawarded multiple awards during his time there, including prestigious honors fromthe Government Finance Officers Association and the Association of School BusinessOfficials. Recognizing the need for an online school to attract students who left thedistrict for charter schools, Mark spearheaded a project to launch eSchool, which eventually became the largest district online school in Utah. Mark has additionally led marketing of a 50,000 charter management organization,launched a successful K-12 education blog, launched an online mountain bikingportal, and has acted as a business consultant for charter schools and schooldistricts. He holds a B.S. in Business from Utah Valley University and an MBA fromBrigham Young University. In his spare time he’s usually on his bike.
